between yesterday’s nosebleed, today’s wierd possible ezcema thing, and now the giant cystic pimple disaster on my chin, my body is officially rebelling against me.

I took the train once from Chicago to NYC - 23.5 hours!!! I can say I did it and that’s that. Never again (unless it’s an all-expense paid trip on the Orient Express).
I could be talked into taking the train if it were a “part” of the trip, and not just the mode of transportation, like go all out and get the sleeper car and...

I deal with Amtrak at work - it’s so not worth it. It’s so expensive, it takes forever, and they always, always have problems. Our train system in this country kind of stinks
right? I can’t believe it costs about the same as it does to fly! The only advantage: more legroom

so my sister was supposed to get in to chicago at 2:50pm yesterday, guess what time she finally made it in? Midnight. MIDNIGHT!! Her train was delayed 8+ hours. Ugh. Out of the 3 experiences people I know have had with amtrak, 2 of them have been awful. No more trains for us!
also, I am sleep deprived today since I didn’t get to bed until about 1:30 and still had to get up stupid...

i was supposed to take the afternoon off to go pickup my sister, but now that her train is delayed I don’t really have to take the afternoon off…but I’m going to anyway. I’m going to be SO PRODUCTIVE this afternoon! Cleaning, baking, packing! It’s all going to get done! (or I’ll end up on the couch eating cookie dough and playing video games, we’ll see)
